Museums in Salamanca are plentiful and many celebrate the area's important history and past events, with many local artefacts, such as the San Esteban Museum (Museo de San Esteban). One of the most popular cultural offerings in the whole of Salamanca, a visit to the Art Nouveau and Art Déco Museum (Museo Art Nouveau y Art Déco) will not disappoint, containing more than 2,500 well-presented exhibits.

San Esteban Museum (Museo de San Esteban)

San Esteban Museum is a true jewel amongst the city's most notable historical buildings, being housed in the famous Convento de San Esteban. Featuring a wealth of religious treasures, highlights here include gold and silver ornaments, old paintings, local relics and an ancient bible.

Castille and Leon Film Library (Filmoteca de Castilla y León)

Full of movie memorabilia and all things cinematic, Salamanca's Castille and Leon Film Library can be found in the city centre. Famous for its collection of 'Fascinating Devices' (Artilugios Para Fascinar), the library offers regular film screenings, an extensive collection of books, many movie photographs and interactive exhibits.

Freemasons' Lodge Museum (Logia de Masones)

Situated together with the city's National Historical Archives, in the Barrio Antiguo region, the Freemasons' Lodge is a particularly unique museum. With many important artefacts and items related to the Spanish Civil war in the late 1930s, the lodge also features memorabilia from when it was used as the Masonic lodge.
